Applications for the MedTech Accelerator Spring Cohort are now open! This 12-week intensive program will cover the aspects of bringing medical technologies to market, with guidance from industry professionals.

The Fall 2020 MedTech Accelerator Stage One Bootcamp concluded this week with a final pitch competition. Congratulations to Brilliant Biome and Neuretix, who tied as 1st place winners, and Alpha Fiber, who came in 3rd place. The teams made final pitches to investors from Two Bear Capital, UFirst Capital, and Shepard Ventures, plus the healthcare company, Baxter. The third MedTech Accelerator Stage One Boot Camp will launch in Spring 2021. So far, 16 startups have gone through the program.
ATEIOS, started by UC San Diego alumni Dr. Rajan Kumar (NanoE '19) and Carlos Munoz (MS BioE '19), raised $1.25 in seed funding to reshape battery manufacturing. After completing the IGE Accelerator program, ATEIOS went on to accelerate with Heritage Group Powered by TechStars. In addition to the seed funding, ATEIOS also received $256,000 from the NSF SBIR Phase I grant.
