Initially introduced during the IGE Showcase event in November, IGE is accepting applications for its MedTech Accelerator which begins in March.
The goal of the program is to speed up the translation of medical innovations to the marketplace. By collaborating with partners such as ACTRI, NAMSA, IGE is looking to streamline the process for developing MedTech products and gaining regulatory approvals.
“It’s important that new medical innovations come to market quickly, states Dennis Abremski, Executive Director of IGE. “Navigating the process is time-consuming and many innovators don’t know where to begin. With the right steps, we can create a clear path from product development to market delivery.”
The program is able to accommodate startups at different stages because of the structure. There is a 14-week program for early-stage startups who need an introduction to the process and to learn the key considerations for product development and the cycle. Mid and late-stage teams can be up to a year as they are looking to build a minimum valuable product or just about ready to conduct clinical trials.
Early, mid and later stage teams in medical devices and diagnostics, digital healthcare, AI, Machine Learning and Healthcare Analytics are encouraged to apply.
