This NSF I-Corps Workshop is specifically designed for underrepresented founders. 

Providing resources, mentorship, and funding to validate and achieve a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to ensure 

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM:

  •  Learn the basics of lean startup entrepreneurship

  •  Effectively communicate the value of your idea

  •  Validate market potential through customer discovery

  •  Gateway to other acceleration programs such as NSF I-Corps™ Nationals Teams Program

 

This special NSF I-Corps Inclusion course is open to underrepresented founders whose concepts are STEM related- Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.  This Inclusion Cohort will provide resources, education, and training to underrepresented founders that they can use on their entrepreneurial journey. 

Held at the UC San Diego campus,  I-Corps is a 5-session workshop series offering experiential learning using the customer discovery process — allowing teams to assess their inventions' market potential quickly.  There will be two Winter 2023 cohort sessions held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, virtually (on Zoom) or in-person at Franklin Antonio Hall Suite 1400, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  Teams of 2 or more members are preferred, and team attendance at each session is expected.

Mandatory pre-work (pre-readings and homework) will be published on Tuesday, 1/17.

Qualifications:

Affiliation with UC San Diego or Pacific-Desert University

Underrepresented Founder with an affiliation with our partner organizations- Talent Foundry
